9. Concrete Steppers with Living Joints
For a contemporary take on stepping stones, pour custom concrete squares and allow them to “float” in a bed of gravel or low-growing, resilient groundcover.
- Design Note: The “living joint”—the space between the pavers—is where you can get creative. Fill these spaces with creeping Jenny, Scotch moss, or even very fine gravel for a minimalist look.
